Wow! Class went so fast on Tuesday! It was really nice meeting you all and I know we will have a great time learning about 21st Century teaching and learning this month. So, in class I asked you to look over the course objectives and topics and think of how they are meaningful to you. Which objective/topic is most interesting you and why?
The topic that was most interesting for me was designing tasks for the classroom that integrated technology. I want to have enough flexibility in my teaching style that I can meet the learning styles and interests of most if not all of my students. I want to walk away from an interview having impressed a principal with the diversity of my portfolio
ReplyDeleteExcellent! you will have lots of practice with this:)
ReplyDeleteI agree, I am excited to learn new techniques for integrating technology into the curriculum. These techniques along with structuring the classroom around the 21st Century Framework would lead to a dynamic classroom full of engaged students. I am also interested in learning who Generation Z is and how they learn, so I can be best prepared to teach them.
ReplyDeleteGreat! I love a student who is excited to learn new things. I look forward to reading your response about Gen Z.
ReplyDeleteThe most interesting objective I think is to produce effective materials for use in the classroom by using a variety of technologies. It means that I can help my pupils to learn in variety of ways and play in unfamiliar situations while absorbing information and obtaining it. For example, students who may be anxious about public speaking can create videos and record their speech for the class.
ReplyDeleteExcellent idea, Mary! I love this example of how technology can be used to accommodate various learners.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to learning the different types of media that are available to us as teachers and how to integrate them.
